Nonlinear interaction of elliptical q-Gaussian laser beams with plasmas with axial density ramp: effect of ponderomotive force

Theoretical investigation on optical self action effects of intense q-Gaussian laser beams interacting with collisionless plasmas axial density ramp has been presented. Emphasis are put investigating the dynamics beam width and phase beam. Effect ellipticity cross section also incorporated. Using variational theory based Lagrangian formulation nonlinear partial differential equation (P.D.E) governing evolution amplitude reduced to a set coupled ordinary equations for widths along transverse directions.
